Take a break!

I'm really grateful to being lazy. Not very commonly, but in cases you do miss out on stuff when you are NOT lazy.
I would have felt like a minion who just slipped a banana in a gorge had I missed the most beautiful rain I had seen this season.
It was like recalling all the splatter, splash and boat races in the childhood with my brother.
And even better because I had great company too :D
Together we crossed Nile, and [accidentally] slipped down while walking through one of its tributaries :P
Together we lost my chappals in the river :'D
Together we witnessed bhootiya things. Sparks flying in the rain.
Together we sang a rainy Kishore Kumar song, while we splashed through the water like bigfoot. :D
I don't remember laughing this much in a long time! Had been waiting to kick back and relax for a little while.

Then there was one moment when all the lights went out. and it was DARK. It was so amazing to feel the sound of the rain, it was like music to the ears, the gentle touch of the drops when you turn your face up as you swirl around the empty road. Not a worry, not a care. The moment couldn't have been any better :D
Everything looked so shiny and new

Sheh! In the excitement I forgot to mention what help did being lazy do in this case?
So I was waiting for NKC to mail me and remind me that "Your issued book will be overdue soon, kindly return."
Today I saw the mail in the spam folder and the book was overdue 2 days ago already! And it was when I went to return it after dinner that the skies started showering.
So, it's a stupid logic but nevertheless, had I returned the book on time, I would have been sitting in my room, probably sleeping and unaware of it all, and would have fallen prey to the college monotony.
Hoping not to get sick again!
Bye bye :D

P.S. Next mission. Turn Dhingra to pluviophile

Pluviophiles

"A massive dust storm hit the Delhi NCR region around 5 pm. The dust storm accompanied by dark clouds was so severe that it blocked out the sun almost completely and brought visibility down to zero, and brought with it much needed rainfall to the region which had been sweltering under the oppressive heat for the last five days"

Shattered glass.
Wet people.
Crazy wind.
Sliding over the water.
Shivering in the end of May!
Well, since my first year at college has been so adventurous and unordinary, there was no question of it ending in an ordinary way.
I am talking about this day, which is 2 days before my end semester exam! (Actually 3 for me) when we were all, peacefully trying to study in the library.
Note again- ‘trying’ to. :P

The fun started at 4:45 when it got stormy, and dark like night. We went out, just because.  Actually we were curious.  It had been a  sunny, hot, terrible day by the way!
In a jiffy, my friend pulled me in the rain, and I wondered how amazing it is that I had my slippery slippers today. I was slipping after each step. It was all dark. Nothing to be seen clearly, and had I slipped there, I would have stopped only near the administrative block. Also I realized that we had somewhere lost Joshi in the storm. :O
So, we happy pluviophiles, hand in hand marched bravely ahead, reveling in every raindrop.
I can see the look on your face Sinha, “People get wet in the rain. So? What’s so great about that?” But you should have been there. Water pouring, hail, thundering, lightening, wind blowing at 60,000 miles/hour (You can remove few zeros if you feel like it!) And we were shivering when, few hours earlier we were dying in the heat. How amazing it felt in all. It was beautiful! The best part was that, for a few minutes, we had forgotten all our worries.
During such a dangerous end of the semester time, it felt so good to see happy faces again. (Actually it was dark, but I have proof the faces were happy) :P

The only person unhappy was a guy from my class, who doesn’t like it when it rains.

We came back, dripping from head to toe, slipping at each step, people smirking, staring at us.
And we found Joshi again. Yayy. She told me stories about the time when she went to Shillong. That’s when she said something very beautiful about beautiful moments. It’s moments like these, when we are truly happy from inside, when we don’t care to bother for a moment, which we cherish the most in life. She wanted to rewind these few moments again. So did I. So did everyone else, except that guy, of course, who was still standing far away, watching us, and looking disgusted!
And slowly as the rain ceased, it started getting brighter. And NIFTEM never looked more beautiful! :')
Except the tabaahi part, of course, which we saw once we came back to the hostel.

The only bad thing that happened was all Adhithiyan’s fault, because his cellphone doesn't have camera.
You’re going to get punished for this soon, Aadi! Pretty soon :D
So, what was your happy, all of a sudden event, which made you forget your troubles for some time?

It's raining!

If I were you I'd be taking it easy
Kick back and relax for a little while
We'll all still be here tomorrow
Take time just to act like a little child
No matter what the world has in store for us
You got the ring that better get off of us
If your boss is giving you pressure
Let go, take a breather in the park
You've got to find out what's your pleasure
In time you'll be singing like a lark
Pretty soon your sorry will chime for all
Somebody will heed your call
Reach out for a comfortable chair
Rejoice and throw your arms in the air
'Cause it's  good life
So why y'all tripping
The good life slipping away!

On reflection, one of the things I needed to learn was to allow myself to be loved. So I had a pretty lazy day
Finally, it's raining after 100 years and I'm sitting outside, in this beautiful weather watching the rain pouring.
Don't you love the sound of rain against your window on a summer night!? Like the sound of a shower running on full-blast. Thunder, lightening...
And this amazing wind... What an amazing way to end this lazy day :P
Wow!!
It really feels so relaxing just to listen to the sound of rain. so beautiful.... no wonder, it's an inspiration for so many poets, writers and many romantic songs. :P I remember the one from 3 Idiots!
Thank you god! . So now I forgot all my worries and I can peacefully go to sleep! This rain saved my day
More than happy!

Speeding in the Winter Rain!

So the day was ... fun! (glad to hear myself  say this after a long long time!)
Today, I was woken up by my sweetest way. That just gave me all I needed.
Yeah I had my Physics exam today, and it DID go well! (for the first time that!)
But why I will remember today forever was because of what happened on my way back home.
As soon as I met Shruti, I looked up, worrying that it might rain any minute. So, to reach home in a hurry,  she started her scooty in a jiffy and I quickly climbed behind her .. and off we went.
100 miles an hour?
I don't know. But however fast that was, it was enough to make me believe, for just one second that I was time travelling (yes, have your laugh)
In 21 seconds,
IT STARTED RAINING...
Heavy downpour!
She sped her Dhanno even faster, and I couldn't see anything (I wonder how did she, either!)
I kept telling her "Please slow down, I wanna get home ALIVE", but then, when the intensity of the rain increased God knows how many times, I forgot everything else, and just started to enjoy the ice-cold water pouring over us! That 20 minute ride back home just made my day!
When I reached home and got off... I saw myself in her rear-view. WOW ! then I realized I was dripping from head to toe. It felt like even my blood had frozen Arrrr!!!
And now as I'm done drying my hair, I think .... such days come rarely in my life.
Okay, it was chilly, along with the "Shruti-Effect" ... abusing everyone who came in our way.  But nevertheless, that was something I can never forget.
It was probably the first time that I had enjoyed winter rain this much !
*Disfrutar de la vida* (:
